I've decided that moving forward I want to chat a bit more about the client work that I do and the awesome organizations and businesses I've had the pleasure of working with. I wanted to start with The Calgary International Film Festival as April is a busy and exciting month - in anticipation of the Oscars on April 25th, CIFF are doing some cool things as a fundraiser for the organization.

Red Carpet Affair 2021, the Un-Gala Gala!

In lieu of their annual gala, they invite you to celebrate and get in the award show spirit. From a 50/50 Raffle to Oscar Shorts you can stream from the comfort of your home, to the exciting Oscar Prediction contest that I'm personally the most excited about, there's much happening - and I want to get the party started by sharing just one of my predictions for this year's Oscars.

Of course, because I love fashion so much, let's get into the Costume Design Nominees.

Massimo Cantini Parrini

Out of these five, I have two favourites and a close third - they all have so much that excites me, so let's break it down a bit.

MANK - Trish Summerville

I mean, come on!!!! As someone who rocks fur (of the faux variety) pretty much all winter, this jacket is giving me life! The sleeve detail is magnificent and the broach just takes this over the edge for me (I also love adding a lapel detail at every opportunity).

Again, come on - just beautiful!!!!

MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM - Ann Roth

So gorgeous on all levels - from the colour of this dress to the fringe, I'm in love! The textures, colours and details just make me want to feel the clothing too - and also, wear every single outfit.

EMMA - Alexandra Byrne

I love me a good period drama, and the costumes in Emma are incredible - the clothing just comes alive with texture and colour and is really interesting from head to toe.

I mean, I kind of want to wear this bolero now. Should I?
