One Dress, Three Ways
My hubby has been working on a big project in Edmonton for too many weeks to count, so last week I decided to join him there - it was so nice to have evenings together where we explored different restaurants and went for some lovely evening walks, despite the crazy heat.
On my first day I did a little shopping - to be honest, after such a long time working from home and staying away from busy places, it was a bit overwhelming at moments, so I was extra excited and relived when I stumbled upon a local boutique in the mall. I was even more excited when I found out that it was run by a mom and daughter duo, and then the excitement went overboard when I found this lovely dress. (Make sure to check them out @shopharrow)
For me summer is all about easy dressing - I love things that I don't have to think about, that sit nicely on the body and that are the least bit fussy. This dress flows away from the body in the most magical way and is so comfortable. And the best part, I love how versatile it is.
I talk about this a lot, but I love to re-imagine my clothing, and it doesn't alway have to be a big deal - case in point, these three looks. I just did slight and small adjustments to my shoes and accessories to change up the vibe of the dress a bit. The best part, I'll be able to easily take this dress into Fall and rock it out with a leather bomber and booties - so cute!
The other element that I was really thrilled about is that even though it's a maxi dress, which doesn't always work for us short gals, because this one hits at the ankles and thanks to the fabrication and drape of it, it works really well even on my shorter body.
Which is your favourite of the three looks?
Before I go, can we also talk about this lip colour? Even though I mostly choose extra bold and vibrant shades, especially in summer, this slightly darker hue is really amping me up right now - it's the Mac Cosmetics Viva Glam I.
I'll be sharing more summer dresses and outfits soon, so I hope to see you back here - and you can always catch my photos and videos on Instagram @aldonabcreative.
