MORE Street Style on Global TV - March 17, 2016

March 17, 2016

I had the lovely pleasure of being invited back to Global TV this morning to chat about some more of my street style finds.

I’ve picked a few outfits that are perfect for the weather that we are having right now, which is a bit all over the place. The key right now is LAYERING! Each look is easily manageable either for Winter or Spring, as each outfit is perfect for and able to accommodate extra layers or the removal of said layers. Each one has great basics, but with subtle punches of personality and unique pieces.

Look One: Devin Sheehan

Devin’s look is amazing - she takes trendy pieces, such as the crop top, turtleneck and leather bomber, and puts them together into a stylish and trendy look. She keeps the foundation of her outfit neutral and adds pops of colour with the blanket scarf and the mustard tone headband. This look is perfect for this weather as you can remove the jacket when it warms up, or add a winter coat on top if it’s chillier. She can add tights, and keep or remove the scarf as needed.

Look Two: Ashley Bagg

Ashley is an accessories designer and she showcases one of her pieces here - I love her aesthetic and the beautiful simplicity of her work. She’s rocking out the Canadian tuxedo and does it beautifully by choosing different denim finishes and washes to break up her outfit. A long blazer coat is perfect for transitioning into Spring, and once again she has many options to winterize this look as needed. Complete your look with a fun top knot and killer shades, no matter what the season!

Look Two: Wilson Wong

Wilson demonstrates layering by wearing his winter wool coat over top a sleek blazer. He can keep the coat open to display the layers underneath, and he adds fun accessories and pieces to showcase print and colour. I love that he’s also rocking out his dad’s vintage briefcase, and really demonstrates a great but more casual work look with the dark denim instead of slacks.
