Calgary International Film Festival
The 2020 Calgary International Film Festival took place from September 24 - October 4, in the heart of downtown Calgary and online virtually across the prairies. Over 11 days, the festival showcased over 200 ground-breaking and must-see films from around the world.
Aldona B Creative generated 52% more publicity than the year previous, with some noteworthy local and national coverage, including: The Globe and Mail, CBC The Current, CBC Radio (multiple programs across the prairies), Global TV, CTV, National Post and many more!

After working on a singular production with Downstage a few years ago, Aldona B Creative joined Downstage for an entire season of production and are now providing publicity support for the second year in a row to the local Calgary theatre company, whose mandate is to produce theatre that creates meaningful conversation around current issues and encourages societal awareness and action.

We began working with Quest Theatre in 2019 on their production of the Flibbertigibbet's Story Exhibit and since then we have had the pleasure of working on their first digital theatre program, the Digital Drama Camps, and are currently providing them PR services on their latest installation at the first annual Chinook Blast Festival taking place in Calgary.
We were able to garner a wide range of media coverage, including Global News, CTV Morning Live, Calgary Herald, National Post, and many parenting publications and blogs. It's our absolute pleasure spreading the word to the Calgary community about the incredible theatre Quest provides for kids and their families.
For the past 45 years, StoryBook Theatre have been producing theatre targeted to young audiences and their families with a mission to bring stories to life in a way that encourages children and their families to dream about who they are and may one day become, explore the story from differing perspectives, to think using inductive reasoning, and to connect to other people and ideas.
We've had the pleasure of working with StoryBook this season, and it's been especially exciting as they have pivoted to bring their theatre to a virtual audience for the first time in their 45 year history. Our media strategies have included stories in Avenue Magazine, CBC Daybreak Alberta, CBC The Homestretch, Global News/770 CHQR, and The Gauntlet, to name a few.
Rattlestick are an Alberta based company creating custom and handcrafted artisan shaving and beard care products, prioritizing local and ethically sourced materials in their production. Each razor and brush is completely unique and no two are the same.
The company won Avenue Magazine’s Made in Alberta Award in 2019 and received coverage in traditional media, blogs, and through in-store events that beautifully showcased this unique brand and the art of shaving.
Sauce Italian Market
Our PR strategies with Sauce Italian Market began with a special cooking class event introducing the media and a diverse group of bloggers and influencers to the Sauce Italian Market brand.
Our traditional media strategy resulted in feature stories and TV appearances that included: Avenue Magazine, Swerve Magazine (RIP), Culinaire Magazine and CTV Morning Live.
